There is no requirement for you to place a GSM sim card inside the device as each trackinapack unit includes an global roaming SIMcard.

Positions are used when your device sends a position to your control panel. An SMS credit is used when you receive a low battery alert or a power down/up message. You also have the freedom to inform your device to report every X seconds. This means your device will only send a position whilst in motion.

The Trackinapack original also allows you to call the device from your mobile phone and it will return the full address details including a WAP link so you may view your device via a small map on your screen. Customers find this solution very handy when they have no internet access.
